ABOUT US
The River Center was founded in 2010 as a way to encourage the creation of a unified dynamic and caring community which sustains and supports one another. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that consists of twelve outreach programs and hundreds of volunteers.
OUR MISSION
To identify and address unmet community needs with compassionate volunteerism.
MEET THE TEAM
Heather Paulson
Executive Director
Mrs. Paulson joined the River Center in 2013, but was volunteering in the school outreach programs prior to that. She was promoted to the Executive Director position in 2016. Prior to The River Center, Heather worked in the graphic design field for 15 years.
Liz Gabuardi
Assistant Director
Mrs. Gabuardi moved to Colorado in 2001 from California and has been a New Castle resident since 2007. She dedicated her time to the New Castle Cub Scouts as the Committee Chairman for three years. She began volunteering for the River Center in 2016 and joined the River Center staff in January 2018. Prior to the River Center, Liz had worked retail for over ten years in customer service, including two years in Human Resources.
